Benjamin Bratt’s “La Mission” Opens Friday in Las Vegas & Supports NCASV
Jul 20th, 2010 Posted in Events, News | one comment »
Benjamin and Peter Bratt’s award winning film, “La Mission” is opening up in theaters in Vegas on July 23, 2010. LAVO Restaurant and Nightclub in the Palazzo along with Global Cinema Distribution are assisting the Nevada Coalition Against Sexual Violence in raising awareness of the challenges of violence prevention, a primary theme of the film.
“La Mission has been honored as a Sundance selection and won the “human rights” award at the Artivist Film Festival in Los Angeles. Rex Reed of the New York Observer wrote Benjamin Bratt’s role was strong “with Bratt giving an intense, multi-layered performance as a man who must learn that there is more to masculinity than a pair of fists.”
The Tao Group, owner/operators of LAVO, are promoting a special event during their “Seduxion” event on Thursday, July 22, 2010. This event will benefit a local non-profit group, the Nevada Coalition Against Sexual Violence (NCASV).
“La Mission” co-stars, Erika Alexander and Jeremy Ray Valdez, will make a special appearance at LAVO nightclub on 7/22/10 to support NCASV. The stars will be walking the red carpet at 10:30 p.m. and “Seduxion” opens at 11 p.m. There will be special giveaways of “La Mission” movie tickets, posters, and t-shirts supplied by Global Cinema Distribution.
“La Mission” opens Friday, July 23 at the Cinemark Sams Town 18 and the Regal Village Cinemas.
The co-stars will be in attendance at evening performances to answer questions about the film and their roles in this family drama. Call the theater for their appearance time.
For more information call Nicole Fruschi at the Tao Group; 702-388-8588; Andrea Sundberg at NCASV; 702-469-1368 or David Svec at Global Cinema Distribution; 323-363-6455.
Opens at Cinemark Samstown and Regal Village Square.
