The final preparations are coming together for our annual meeting and thus far, we are on track for a full house of attendees, and a wonderful lineup of workshop presenters and plenary speakers.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you and hope that this year’s gathering is a grand experience for networking and building stronger ties with each of our respective communities.

The Nevada Coalition Against Sexual Assault is proud to announce its collaborative sponsorship with the Nevada Advisory Council for Prosecuting Attorneys for their annual statewide “Sexual Violence Prevention and Intervention Conference” to be held in Las Vegas, November 9 & 10, 2009 at the Alexis Park Resort Hotel. 2009 Conference Information pdf.
Conference organizers are proud to host two opportunities to hear from distinguished Plenary Speakers:
Kristina Korobov, Acting Director of the National Center for the Prosecution of Violence Against Women, who will cover the issue of victim blaming and how the focus of the investigation and prosecution of sexual assault cases should lie with the perpetrator.
and
Mark Klaas and Brad Dennis with the Klaas Kids Foundation, who will present participants with information on the rates of trafficking of teens for the purpose of use in the sex industry. The speakers will also provide participants with information on best practices of identifying and supporting victims.
