April 3^rd:  3pm Proclamations and Pinwheel/ribbon ceremony held at City Hall to promote awareness for Child Abuse Prevention(Pinwheels for Prevention) , Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the White Ribbon Campaign (men working to end violence against women). 

April 22^nd: displaying decorated denim pants in businesses for Denim Day

April 24^th: 11am-4pm 2^nd Annual Party in the Park for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

Winnemucca Domestic Violence Shelter will have bounce houses, health and nutrition booths, information on gardening, a snake, outdoor ethics activities, music, fear factor, and awareness booths.  Denim day posters and the decorated pants will be at the Party in the Park and throughout the community.
